HBDHB is seeking a Nursing Educator to train and develop our new immunisation unregulated workforce. You will provide professional, clinical direction and guidance for up to six COVID vaccinators working under Supervision.  This is an exciting new opportunity to work with and develop a new workforce. 

 You will be working with the Mana Ora Mana Māori vaccination team to deliver and support and improve vaccination outcomes for our communities.  We have a passionate team who work closely with our communities delivering an excellent COVID vaccination service.  

 You will require knowledge of Māori Health and Pacific Health models and be able to actively integrate cultural safety into the delivery of care for our community. 

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
• To be an NZ-registered Nurse, Pharmacist or health professional with a current practicing certificate and vaccinator status or ability to readily achieve this
• Experience in an education role, such as patient or health professional education
• The ability to facilitate and manage change at a local level
• A background in, or passion for immunisation
• Sensitivity to cultural/ethnic customs beliefs and values
• The ability to use computer applications, including MS suite
• A full New Zealand Drivers License as local/regional travel is required
