Our Administration Team at Peninsula Private Hospital have a part time vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the hospital's Admissions and Reception desk.

Peninsula Private Hospital is a 70-bed facility located in Kippa Ring with an exciting and challenging case mix. We are a leading hospital renowned for patient outcomes in a range of medical, surgical and rehabilitation services. This robust offering and holistic approach to patient care enables our team to work closely together to ensure our patients receive a bespoke healthcare experience like no other.

As an Admin Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a busy reception desk of up to 40 admissions per day
  • Answering and redirecting calls
  • Preparing admission paperwork & theatre bookings at times
  • Maintaining accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records.
  • Performing Health Fund Checks as required
  • Managing the collection of excesses/co payments
  • Coordinating with staff from other departments
  • Ward clerk relief when required on Medical, Rehab & Surgical Wards
  • Completing other clerical tasks as required Assisting other departments when required

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 1-year previous hospital administration experience
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Works well independently and within a team
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts - Between 6am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday
  • WebPas Hospital system experience (Desired)
