Job Description

As an Administration Officer, you will be a key member of the District Supported Resolutions Team, which is part of the Maori, Pacific and Ethnic Services (MPES) team. You will support and enable the team to undertake key work in supporting the community and local Iwi to achieve better outcomes for all. The key area of Supported Resolutions is Te Pae Oranga community panel, which deals with offences outside of the justice system, providing better outcomes for participants (offenders) and victims. The role will support the wider Canterbury MPES team.

 The successful candidate will have experience in administrative tasks which includes (but is not limited to), data entry, email communication, NIA file reassignment and updates, and confidence in professional communication with various partners and stakeholders both internally and within the community and wider district. Familiarisation and experience with NIA, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe, with good typing skills is preferred.

 Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide day to day admin support for Supported Resolutions and MPES
  • Facilitate efficient records and documentation for Te Pae Oranga referrals and internal data
  • Manage email referrals and communication and monitor general calendar events and reminders
  • Manage NIA file assignment and maintain records and updates
  • Partnerships and Communication – demonstrate experience with partnering to effectively achieve supportive resolutions.
