About you

This full-time position has become available in our friendly team, ideal for a career administrator ready to make the Front of House/ Administration Officer role their own.

Your confidence in written and verbal communication coupled with a strong and unwavering work ethic will bring you success in this role.  You are an experienced organisational extraordinaire, who requires little supervision, manages time efficiently, understands the importance of deadlines, problem solves on-the-go and delivers results in conjunction with the business and team goals.

The role will suit an experienced administrator who can easily build and maintain client relationships, be an integral team member and hit the ground running in any environment to secure their future and grow with the business.

Previous roles, ideally in accounting or legal administrative roles, will allow you to display exceptional knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular, Excel, Word and Outlook.  Any experience with accounting software including MYOB, Xero, and Handisoft will be advantageous, but not mandatory as you will be provided with training.

 

About the role

As the Administration Officer, you will bring your previous skills and knowledge, eagerness for success and development and helpful nature to ensure the business is delivering on the service we promise to our clients.

As you will be an integral member of the GBD Accountants administrative team, working remotely or working from home is not available in this role. This is an office based position.

In the role of Administration Officer, you will be responsible, but not limited to, the following duties:

  • ASIC register management, including Annual Company Statements, preparation secretarial documents and managing business name applications & renewals;
  • ATO Notice of Assessment reconciliation, correspondence with the ATO for client payment plans, lodgement extensions and other general ATO matters;
  • Client correspondence for lodgement deadlines, document requests and information gathering;
  • Data entry – Client tax returns and BAS, Excel and accounting software;
  • Mail and communication management;
  • Directing and assisting client requests by phone and email;
  • Greeting clients, managing & booking in meetings, answering incoming calls and directing to the appropriate team member.
  • Other Ad hoc administrative tasks

We are offering a salary package that is inclusive of superannuation.  The final offer presented to the successful applicant will be dependent on skills and experience.
