About us

We are a start-up company of experienced political campaign and marketing professionals looking for an administrative star to help recruit, set up our Auckland office, and manage the day-to-day administration of our company. 

We work with philanthropic causes and centre-right groups from around New Zealand to deliver professional and authentic campaigns, engagement and fundraising services.

Solution-based thinking will be your biggest asset. Expect to walk into a fast-paced role with plenty to learn and challenge you. 

About the Role:

We are looking for someone that has confidence and can interact with lots of different people including clients, staff, and stakeholders and you will be providing some secretarial support to our CEO. Be the key to success as you run a smooth functioning office whilst ensuring the wellness of the culture and all internal and external stakeholders is cared for. You will play an integral part of the daily operations of a vibrant, dynamic office environment. Whilst effectively managing processes, relationships, correspondence and projects, you will be supported with a career development plan as you become indispensable to the business.

This position is a full-time role, based in central Auckland, however as we are building the company/recruiting, there is some flexibility in terms of the precise scope of the role and hours.

You must have existing rights to work in New Zealand to be considered for this role. We are keen to fill this position as soon as a suitable candidate is identified. Applications will be reviewed as they are received.

Qualifications & experience

  • High level administrative experience required
  • Xero familiarity, or bookkeeping skills preferred but not required
  • Highly Motivated and Energetic
  • Experience in MS Office, (in particular word and excel)
  • Able to work autonomously and productively
  • Confident in making decisions and using initiative
  • Political or rural industry knowledge a bonus (but not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Friendly, confident and a keen problem solver
  • Organised, and able to prioritise and multitask
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Discreet and diplomatic when dealing with confidential issues.
  • Generally good with IT and able to pick up on new system quickly.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Office management
  • Responding to general emails and calls
  • General secretarial support to management including diary and calendar management
  • Job scheduling and some project management
  • Billing/invoicing
  • Basic HR (employment contract management, recruitment – especially early on)
  • Secretarial/executive Support
  • Basic bookkeeping and financial reporting
