The Company:
Our client is a recognisable brand within the science sector who is seeking an administrative assistant in the western suburbs. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who wants to gain valuable experience in the administrative area.
The Position:
· Being a point of contact for a range of staff and external stakeholders
· Addressing or referring external customer queries to relevant internal departments.
· Researching and booking travel arrangements for staff members
· Undertaking reporting
· Processing and directing mail and incoming packages or deliveries
· Conducting data entry
· Writing and issuing emails to teams and departments on behalf of teams or senior staff
· Greeting and directing visitors and new staff to the organisation
· Answering and directing phone calls to relevant staff
· Finding ways to improve administrative processes
· Application for, and maintenance of licences and permits.
· Scheduling meetings and appointments
· Taking notes and minutes in meetings
· Ordering and taking stock of office supplies
· Preparing documents for meetings and business trips
About you:
To be successful in the role, you will ideally be someone with great people skills, customer service or administration experience and who is passionate about becoming a valuable administrative team member. You will also be a great communicator on all levels, have a strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously within a dynamic environment.
