What is the opportunity?
The Actuarial Analyst provides support, and in some cases, leads the updating and development of the Actuarial Valuation Models, as well as provides consultation on actuarial modeling to other business areas as required.
What will you do?
- Investigate, test and implement Valuation AXIS datasets changes as requested by key stakeholders
- Quantify the financial impact of changes made in the Valuation AXIS datasets
- Prepare development documentation of changes made in the Valuation AXIS datasets and send to regression tester for independent runs
- Identify and implement improvements of Valuation AXIS datasets processes, under the guidance of the reporting manager
- Participate in Development processes and projects, under the guidance of the reporting manager
- Liaise with pricing, business, IT and other actuarial areas within RBCI as needed
What will you need to succeed?
Must have
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Access and Excel
- Continuous effort toward obtaining Associate of the Society of Actuaries
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Basic programming skills for GGY AXIS
