JOB DESCRIPTION

The Accounting Coordinator supports and assists with the administration of day-today operations of the Accounting/Finance Department. The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for preparing and processing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. The Accounting Coordinator performs a wide variety of functions to support the activities of the department including filing, data entry, conducting research, reconciliations, and general accounting support as needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Records daily receipts
• Processes A/R and advance deposit payments
• Prepares cash deposits
• Prepares customer refunds
• Prepares customer invoices
• Coordinates A/R meetings, monitors Aging Report and performs collections
• Processes new vendor requests
• Process vendor invoices with proper coding and approval
• Reconciles vendor monthly statements
• Processes petty cash
• Coordinates and supports interdepartmental accounting needs
• Investigates and resolves transactional inquiries and chargebacks
• Prepares month end accruals, journal vouchers and assists with month end reconciliation activities as assigned
• Maintains Accounting/Finance records, files and documents
• Provides administrative support and performs other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

•    Degree in finance or accounting is  preferred
•    Knowledge of Oracle Financial or other financial Software is preferred.
•    Previous experience in  accounting, finance or similar field strongly preferred.
•    Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office and Excel
