The Company An Accountant will be an integral position at XYZ Pty Ltd due to our number of staff and future expansion plan. This position will help us to complying with Australian Tax laws, proper forecasting and budgeting and other tasks such as cash flows, cost variances, income and expenditure, ledger, reports, BASs and monthly or yearly closing in system. Eligibility Criteria • At least Bachelor or higher degree with major in accounting • At least two years or more experience in related field • You must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent resident or have proper working rights in Australia Key Responsibilities: • Involved in preparing the business Activities statement (BAS), profit & loss accounts, balance sheet, cash flow and financial statement. • Monitor financial status by comparing data sets with projections • Consulting with the management team to develop long-term commercial plans • Suggesting budgets and improvements based on the above information • Conducting financial investigations and preparing reports. • Analysing current and past financial data • Conducting financial statement analysis, budgeting, and cash flow according to company policies and in consultation with the management. • Develop forecast models based on metrics to implement improvements as the business grows • Exploring different investment opportunities • Evaluating current capital expenditures and depreciation • Assisting in resolving accounting discrepancies, profit and loss statement, budgeting, managing ledgers, cost accounting report. • Involved in calculating company’s annual business tax, seeking plans for improving business structures and timely reporting to manager. • Performing the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, monthly closing, and yearly closing procedures in XERO or any other software used by business. • Ensure implementation of accounting policies, process and procedures with evolving Australian Accounting standards. • Establishing and evaluating profit plans Other Skills & Required Attributes: • Previous experience in finance and/or accounting desirable • Organized person, with economic knowledge and strategy, also experience with Business Intelligence Technology • Must have experience in overseeing finance/ accounts and auditing of overseas partners/ business • Microsoft Office skills high level computer skills including (Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint and outlook). • Relevant IT skills are desired • Experience with an accounting Business software such as MYOB/ XERO, Pastel accounting, and quick books. • Ability to solve complex problems. • Ability to prioritise tasks, self-management, and detail oriented. • Excellent analytical skills, decision making skills, writing and communication skills Salary: $65,000+Super Only the shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
