Description

Reporting to the Managing Director, your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Developing and preparing monthly accounting and reporting; ensuring integrity and accuracy of all general ledger data.
  • Perform financial statistic, research and risk management, as well as provide development strategy in accordance with organizational goals and achievements.
  • Prepare statutory requirements such as BAS, Superannuation, GST, Payroll Tax, Workers Compensation and others as necessary.
  • Preparing special financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information and trends, for internal decision-making purposes.
  • Preparation of Weekly Cash Flow Forecasts.
  • Preparation of Consolidated Balance Sheet and Accounts for the company.
  • Assisting the Director with monthly management reporting.
  • Supervise month-end closings and bank reconciliations.
  • Performing key reconciliations & reviewing reconciliations of team members and liaising with different departments to resolve account discrepancies
  • Finalise financial statements at the end of financial periods.
  • Process, coordinate, and manage the payroll operations for the company including delivery of annual PAYG Payment Summaries for employees.
  • Maintain one touch payroll reporting to the ATO.
  • Evaluating financial operations and advising management on different techniques to improve process and procedures

DUTIES, REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrable experience within a corporate accounting role.
  • Ability to engage with individuals at a senior level.
  • Ability to build relationships while asking tough questions.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel and Word.
  • High level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skillset.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work autonomously.

EXPERIENCE:

  • In a similar role 2+ years (Required)
  • Payroll 1 year (Required)
  • MYOB 1 year (Preferred)

EDUCATION:

Relevant tertiary qualification and working or willing to work towards CA/CPA.
