What is the opportunity?
The Account Services Agent is support to the processing and leadership teams and day to day communications with branches and clients. Provides subject matter expertise for day to day operations, utilizing a sense of urgency and breadth of process knowledge to ensure department’s Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met at all times. Depending on duty, this position may be asked to lift/move containers,boxes/bags 30-50 lbs.
This position will have a set schedule of 6:00am-2:15pm : Monday-Friday – but should be available to work during Operational hours with notice.
Working in a unique high secutiy premise.
What will you do?
- Provides day to day support to clients, branches and service partners as it relates to cash ordering and shipment requests. Posts/verifies/processes background functions for clients depositing/ordering cash to facilitate transactions. Balances cash holdings & coin pools ensuring forecasting is done correctly and to mazimize efficiency. Partners with Bank of Canada & Precious Metals to facilitate transactions. Processes and edits foreign cash orders as required.
- Delivers consistent service to ensure Service Level Agreements for each department are met
- Subject matter expertise and team operational support for processing activities - and referral point for all processing streams of our business
- Support the Team Leader in daily operational issues.
- Reporting, verification and documentation of work processes and outputs for completeness and accuracy, and takes appropriate steps to correct as required.
- Identifies and recommends solutions to recurring errors and servicing gaps to team leader or department manager
- Depending on duty, this position may be asked to lift/move containers, boxes/bags 30-50 lb
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Possess excellent communication skill, be able to see "big picture" on investigations and think through problem resolution. Good Communication abilities, as this position will have telephone & email contact with both internal and external clients.
- Must be flexible and be willing and able to learn other duties within the centre. The successful candidate will cross train on multiple desks and duties.
- Cash Management is a fast paced environment and being able to embrace change is a must.
- Strong teamwork and displays the collective ambition values daily.
- Demonstrate strong informal leadership skills, be a team player, strong decision making ability, be positive and realiable. A quick learner with attention to detail and is coachable with a desire to learn new concepts.
Nice-to-have
- Previous operational experience, working knowledge of Compass, GL reconciliation, cash blotters (balancing and entries etc), client/branch claims, investigations, cash volume forecasting.
- Processing environment experience
