The role

As a member of the management team dedicated to the Public Sector, the Account Executive identifies business opportunities for this market segment to grow sustainable and profitable sales proposing customized solutions to meet client needs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Grow the company’s market share/revenues through identification, development , acquisition and maintaining new business opportunities
  • Achieve established sales objectives based on increasing share of low-share accounts.
  • In conjunction with the Service team, lead the development of complex large and long-term sales strategies based on the client’s current and future business needs designing unique-to-client business solutions including emerging technologies
  • Conducts initial client meetings, gathers intelligence to size and scope opportunity
  • Develop and action strategic account plans and strategic opportunity plans for new or low share accounts and submits opportunity utilizing the Salesforce tool
  • Builds TCO and ROI financial models for the purpose of presenting to senior client financial staff
  • Determine targeted ROI, along with key business partners to support process and agreement to final client signature on new  or low share accounts
  • Manage unsolicited proposal and RFP deliverables and liaise with support teams (RFP Team, Legal, Client Care, etc) to validate contract elements on new or low share accounts
  • Introduce Service team to client for deployment and ongoing relationship
  • Formulate and deliver relevant business case information to business unit owners across multiple departments: Finance, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Logistics, Service and others.
  • Provide input regarding corporate processes, product/service forecasts, competitive intelligence, etc.
  • Cultivate a proactive and efficient relationship and partnership with the client’s technical leads and decision-makers and demonstrate an advanced knowledge of Bell and competitor policies, products and services or technology
  • Responsible for executive presentations to discuss the health of the territory and report on the progress of sales activities

 

Critical Qualifications/Competencies

  • Post graduate degree preferred
  • Proven track record in Wireless, selling technical client solutions
  • Experience managing and closing long and lengthy transactions
  • Demonstrated strength in understanding and influencing team dynamics and full grasp of business issues
  • Ability to prospect and identify opportunities while developing strong client relationships
  • Able to influence and drive results in a matrix environment
  • Structured, disciplined and adherence to Sales Force
  • Excellent communication, written and presentation skills
  • Must be able to attend on-site client appointments on a frequent basis
  • Strong aptitude for government process, policy and decision making
  • Ability to work effectively with internal resources
  • In Province travel 40% (however, currently remote)

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
