Job Summary

Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified .NET engineer with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications.

Key Responsibilities

Development in .Net framework, c#, Microservices, APIs, Cloud platforms while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, designingdesigns are in compliance with specifications and deliver superior engineering outcomes

Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review

Work in a team environments and mentor the junior team members

Honing individual engineering competency using the available enablement programs

Participate actively in talent acquisition

Engage in team leadership and people management

Professional Experience / Qualifications:

Minimum 8+ years of coding experience in ASP .Net, ASP .Net MVC, Multi -Tier Architecture, Micro services, Entity data model, Restful and WCF services, API Development.

Experience with any cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP. PCF etc) a MUST.

Proficient in ASP and .NET framework. 

Hands-on experience in the development of RESTFUL web services & microservices

Angular or React presentation framework experience

Working experience in Azure databases such as SQL Database, Database for MySQL, or Database for PostgreSQL OR working experience in database and storage technologies such as Oracle, MS SQL server, Mango DB, or Redis, etc.

Understanding of digital transformation and cloud native application development, 12 factor compliance cloud solutions

Experienced in TDD (Test Driven Development)

Good understanding of DevOps concepts and process and CICD tools.

Good understanding of Agile methodology

Understanding of security and identify concepts and familiar with authentication, single-sign-on, directory services etc.

Knowledge of commonly used IDEs such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, and UNIX scripts

Excellent communication skill and participates actively in team meetings discussions and be a specialist in Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns

Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements envisioning system features and improving functionality
