As part of the Organisational Strategy and Performance Branch; a small branch with a big job. We provide direction, oversight and leadership across Internal Affairs on strategic planning, legal services and governance, risk and assurance.
The governance team provides stewardship and support of the governance system for the Department and is looking for a Senior Advisor.
This role supports the governance manager with the delivery of high-quality services and advice in a fast-paced governance system. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working alongside senior leaders and leading through influence to achieve results.
The role involves a variety of advisory and support functions, including working directly with Chairs and Deputy Chairs (tiers 2 and 3) to develop committee work programmes as well as compiling agendas, taking minutes and engaging across the organisation in support of our governance committees. It also supports the continuous improvement of the system, recommending and implementing enhancements.
To be successful in this role, you will:
Prior experience in providing governance support to committees or teams is ideal, but not essential.
