What is the opportunity?
The Manager, Channel Design & Initiatives Delivery participates in the development, implementation and execution of Group Benefits initiatives into RBC Insurance Group Benefits Sales, Sales Support & Service environments. The incumbent builds sales capabilities within the sales team through the strategic design, delivery, optimization and development of process and/or technology enabled solutions that enhance employee effectiveness and efficiency to support the delivery of superior and tailored 3rd party advisor and client experiences. This Manager acts as a Subject Matter Expert and leads key initiatives which align to the Group business channels and overall RBC Insurance strategies.
What will you do?
• Assist in the development and optimization of the Group sales channel strategies designed to drive our distribution of the future
• Collaborate and partner with Sales Channels and their Leaders to drive change resulting in generating revenue and/or improving the client experience
• Understand the Business and Sales Strategies, Performance Drivers and KPI (Key Performance Indicators) results in order to develop a clear line of sight on upcoming Group Benefits initiatives and how and when they will impact the Group sales channel
• Contribute towards Business and Sales strategic and tactical initiative planning by providing expertise regarding Sales, Sales Support & Service environments, including high level requirements, capacity, timing, capability and testing
• Develop and lead the Change Management and Implementation plans to integrate new initiatives or changes into the sales channels
• Partner, engage and collaborate with various key stakeholders across the organization to lead the planning and execution of initiatives or changes impacting the sales channel
• Develop, create and maintain procedures and end to end processes for our Group Benefits sales channels, in addition to sales tools, training and reference material
What will you need to succeed?
Must have:
• 5 to 10 years of experience in Group insurance
• Strong creative problem solving skills. Look beyond the surface to foresee potential pitfalls and mitigates risks before they occur and develops appropriate solutions. Quickly determine the fundamental essence of an issue, its root cause, conflicting points of view and seek a creative resolution
• Demonstrate the ability to synthesize complex initiatives, interpret and present information clearly and accurately both written and verbal. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentations skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to prioritize and meet conflicting demands and highly adaptable, flexible, effective and comfortable working in a matrix environment
• Strong strategic business sense and technical/analytical skills as well as ability to work well under pressure
• MS Office proficiency
• Strong teamwork with the ability to build relationships with various roles across all levels, strong autonomy and leadership capabilities
Nice to have:
• Experience working with 3rd party partners and vendors
• Knowledge of Group distribution, including solid understanding of end-to-end business processes and supporting technologies and systems
• CEBS certification or equivalent
• Change Management certification or equivalent
• Project Management certification or equivalent
• Great attention to detail and strong organizational skills
